Startupifier is organizing the Startupifier Bootcamp to keep the startup community vibrant and get more students and professionals creating startups.
Startupifier Bootcamp is a weekend event where teams build and launch a product. We are targeting the event at anyone interested in creating great products and working with awesome people.
Objectives:
- Create a product
- Find co-founders
- Work and meet great people
- Have fun!

Friday, October 22nd:
6.00pm: Opening (food)
6.15pm: Alexis Smirnov, tips for the weekend that are applicable to startups in general
6.45pm: Pitches
7.15pm: Participants vote on pitches by giving the pitchers poker chips
7.40pm: Counting votes and announcement of projects to be developed
8.00pm: Winning pitchers gather a team for their project and register the team
8.45pm: Work starts at the third floor rooms and basement restaurant
1 am: Move to Second Cup to work or go home and get some sleep.
Saturday, October 23rd:
8am - 12:30pm: Work, Mentoring
1pm: Presentation by Gary Haran, "Launch Minimum: How to distill to your launch essentials".
1:30pm: Presentation by Marc-André Cournoyer, "How to make money with your startup".
1:30 - 1am: Work, Mentoring
Sunday, October 24th:
8am - 5pm: Work
5pm: Teams pitch their ideas
6pm: Winners are selected by the crowd
Our target is to gather 50-100 enthusiastic individuals to make their ideas reality.
The event will start on Friday evening, when participants will get to pitch their ideas. Teams of 3-10 people are then formed around the best ideas. Work starts on Friday or Saturday morning. On Sunday, there will be a pitching competition where the teams get to present their ideas.
The best teams will also receive prizes, so far, we have at least:
- Free working space at a premier startup accelerator Year One Labs, yearonelabs.com
- Free consulting from renowned Mark MacLeod, StartupCFO - startupcfo.ca
The best and most experienced entrepreneurs in Montreal will be present to mentor the groups and help them to look at what they’re building critically. Some presentations during the weekend might also pop-up.

Startupifier organise ce Bootcamp pour garder la communauté active et amener toujours plus d’étudiants et professionnels à créer des startups.
Startupifier Bootcamp est un évènement sur une fin de semaine durant lequel des équipes construisent et lancent un produit. Toute personne intéressée à l’idée de créer quelque chose de nouveau et de travailler avec personnes passionnantes est la bienvenue.
Objectifs:
- Créer un produit
- Trouver des co-fondateurs
- Travailler et rencontrer des personnes
- S’amuser !

Vendredi 22 Octobre :
6.00pm: Ouverture (nourriture)
6.15pm: Alexis Smirnov, conseils pour le weekend et aux startups en general
6.45pm: Présentations
7.15pm: Les participants vote en donnant de poker chips.
7.40pm: Compte des votes et annonce des gagnants
8.00pm: Les gagnants assemblent leurs équipes
8.45pm: Travail commence au troisième étage et au restaurant au sou-sol.
1 am: Travail continue au Second Cup ou à dormir.
Samedi 23 Octobre :
08h00 - 01h00: Travail, Mentorat
1pm: Presentation by Gary Haran, "Launch Minimum: How to distill to your launch essentials.
Dimanche 24 Octobre :
08h00 - 17h00 : Travail
17h00 : Présentations des produits
18h00 : Vote pour les meilleures présentations
Nous ciblons entre 50 et 100 participants motivés à transformer leurs idées en réalité.
L'évènement commencera vendredi soir avec les présentations des idées par les participants. Des équipes de 3 à 10 personnes seront formées autour des meilleures idées. Le travail commence vendredi soir ou samedi matin. Dimanche, les équipes présenteront leur produit.
Les meilleures équipes recevront des prix, parmi lesquels nous avons déjà :
- Espace de travail gratuit à l'accélérateur de startups Year One Labs, yearonelabs.com
- Consultation gratuite auprès de Mark MacLeod, StartupCFO, startupcfo.ca
Les entrepreneurs les plus expérimentés de Montréal seront présent pour mentorer les équipes et les aider à avoir un regard critique sur les produits. Quelques présentations auront aussi surement lieu durant la fin de semaine.
